Managing Assets in Customix

The Assets library stores the resources you use to create personalized products, including images, fonts, colors, mockups, vectors, and maps. Keeping these assets organized makes it easier to find and reuse them when building Option Sets.

Access the Assets Library

From the Customix dashboard, click Assets in the left sidebar. At the top of the page, select the type of asset you want to manage:

  • Images: Artwork, clipart, backgrounds, and other image files
  • Fonts: Fonts used for text personalization
  • Colors: Solid colors and gradients
  • Mockups: Product images used to present the personalized design
  • Vectors: Vector resources used in supported personalization options
  • Maps: Map styles used for map personalization

Each asset type has its own library, folders, and Add menu.

Upload Assets

Open the appropriate asset tab, then click the Add button in the upper-right corner.
For images and fonts, you can choose:

  • Upload files to add one or more files from your computer
  • Upload ZIP to upload multiple assets together
  • Add folder to create a new folder for organizing your assets

After selecting Upload files or Upload ZIP, choose the files from your computer. Customix will add them to the selected asset library.

Create and Organize Folders

Folders help you organize related assets, such as designs for a particular holiday, product type, theme, or collection.
To create a folder:

  • Open the relevant asset tab.
  • Click the Add button.
  • Select Add folder.
  • Enter the folder name.
  • Click Add.

To move an existing asset or folder, hover over it and click the three-dot menu. Select Move to a folder, then choose its new location.
You can also use the search bar to find folders and files by name or use the sorting menu to change their display order.

Add Colors

Open the Colors tab and click Add color.
You can create either a Solid color or a Gradient. Select the color using the color picker or enter its color code, then click Save.
Colors can also be organized into folders, allowing you to create reusable color collections for different products or designs.

Edit, Move, or Delete an Asset

Hover over an asset or folder and click the three-dot menu to view the available actions:

  • Edit: Update the asset’s name and display settings
  • Move to a folder: Move the item into another folder
  • Delete: Remove the item from your Assets library

When editing an image asset, you can update its name and choose how it will appear to customers.
The thumbnail can use either an uploaded image or a color. You can also select one of the following display styles:

  • Thumbnail images
  • Dropdown
  • Inline button

Click Save after completing your changes.

Your uploaded assets are now ready to use when creating and configuring Option Sets.
