Quickstart Guide
Customix is a product personalization app that helps merchants create interactive shopping experiences on Shopify. With Customix, you can easily add customization options such as text, image upload, color swatches, image swatches, maps, QR codes, and many more without any coding.
This quick start guide will walk you through creating your first Option Set and publishing it to your store.
Enable App Embed
Before getting started, make sure the Customix App Embed is enabled in your Shopify theme. Go to Online Store → Edit theme, open the App Embeds panel (the third icon on the left toolbar), then turn on the Customix app embed.

Main Navigation
The left sidebar contains the main sections of the application:
- Dashboard: View your overall workspace and recent activities.
- Assets: Manage reusable resources such as images, fonts, cliparts, and other assets that can be used across multiple option sets.
- Option Sets: This is where you create and manage all product customization experiences.
- Orders: View customer personalization data submitted with each order.
- Pricing: Manage your subscription plan and usage.
- Settings: Configure your app settings and preferences.
Create Your First Option Set
Step 1. Create an Option Set
Go to Option Sets from the left menu. Click the Add button in the upper-right corner.

Step 2. Select Your Product
Choose the product you want customers to personalize and click Select to continue.

Step 3. Review Product Previews
Once a product is selected, all of its product images will automatically be imported as Preview Images. These preview images are what customers will see while customizing the product.

You can:
- Keep all imported images
- Delete images you don't need
- Add new preview images
- Replace existing images with better product photos
- Rearrange the preview order by dragging them
Step 4. Add Customization Options
Click Add option and choose the personalization type you would like to offer. Customix supports many different option types from standard text personalization, image upload to selectable swatch.

After selecting an option type, configure its settings such as label, default values, fonts, colors, positioning, conditions, or other properties depending on the selected customization. Repeat this step for every personalization option you want to add.

Step 5. Save and Publish
When your option set is ready, remember to click Save and turn on the Enable toggle to publish it to your storefront.

Congratulations! 🎉 You have successfully created your first Option Set. Your product is now ready to offer a personalized shopping experience to your customers. Once the option set is enabled, customers will be able to customize the product directly on your storefront.
This Quick Start guide covers the basic workflow for creating an Option Set. Each customization type includes its own settings and advanced features, which are explained in more detail in the dedicated documentation.
