Warp Text

Enhance your designs with our new Warp Text feature (Beta). This tool allows you to deform text using Bezier warp shapes, giving you full creative control over how your typography interacts with your product designs.

1. Accessing Warp Text

To begin, open your template and select the Text icon (T) from the left-hand sidebar. In the content menu, you will see the new Warp Text option. Click this to add a warpable text layer to your canvas.

2. Selecting a Warp Type

Once the Warp Text layer is active, a variety of preset Warp types will appear in the right-hand settings panel. You can pick one from the default styles:

3. Customizing Warp Points

If the presets don't quite fit your vision, you can manually adjust the shape:

  • Click the Edit warp points button in the right-hand panel.

  • Interactive nodes (black and white points) will appear on the canvas.
  • Drag these points to pull, stretch, or curve the text into a custom Bezier shape.

4. Wrap Text Mechanism

The Warp Text engine operates within a specific boundary. When editing points, you will notice two blue dashed lines acting as the top and bottom borders. The text will automatically scale and distort to remain perfectly contained within these two lines. Adjusting the curvature of these blue lines directly dictates the flow of the letters.

5. Enabling Customer Personalization

To ensure your customers can input their own text on the storefront, you must enable the personalization settings:

  • Scroll down to the Personalization section in the right sidebar.
  • Check the box for Personalize text then configure your settings such as: Lable, Help text, so on

Pro Tip: While in "Edit warp points" mode, focus on the corner nodes for overall scaling and the middle "handle" nodes to control the intensity of the curves. Always click Save in the top right to lock in your custom warp shape!
