Using the Ruler

The ruler helps you position and align elements precisely on your canvas.

Showing the ruler

To turn on the ruler, click the three-dot (•••) menu next to the template name at the top, then select Show ruler.

How the ruler works

Once enabled, you can use the ruler in the following ways:

  1. Rulers appear along the canvas edges: measurement rulers are displayed at the top and left side of your canvas, showing the pixel dimensions of your design.
  2. Position highlighting: when you move an element, a gray highlight appears on the rulers to indicate its exact position, making it easy to see where the element sits.
  3. Adding guides: click and drag from either ruler onto your design to create a guide line. Guides act as alignment references, helping you position elements precisely and keep your design consistent.

Clearing guides

To remove all guides and turn off the ruler entirely, open the same three-dot (•••) menu and select Clear all guides, this hides the rulers as well.

If you only want to remove or disable one of the two ruler bars (top or left), simply click and drag that bar out of the design area.
