QR Code Personalization

QR Code Personalization allows customers to generate a QR code dynamically based on a URL they provide, or automatically from a linked data source such as a Spotify song.

Step 1: Add QR Code Element to the Template

After you have finished creating the template and setting up other design elements, open the Elements panel in the template editor and select QR Code. This will add a QR Code layer to your canvas, which you can resize and position to fit your design layout.

Step 2: Enable QR Code Personalization

Select the QR Code layer, then go to the Personalization section on the right panel and enable Personalize with QR code. At this step, you can customize the label and help text, for example guiding customers to enter a URL that they want the QR code to link to.

Enable Personalize with QR code

Then on the storefront, when customers enter any URL into the QR code input field, Customix will instantly generate a corresponding QR code. The preview will update in real time, allowing customers to see exactly how the QR code will appear on the final product before placing the order.

Step 4: Using QR Code with Spotify Song Personalization (Special Case)

In the case where the QR code is used together with Spotify Song Personalization, the QR code does not need to be filled manually by the customer. Instead, select the Spotify layer in the template and locate the URL field in the Share Values section. Assign the QR Code layer to this URL value.

Assign QR Code Layer for URL Value

With this setup, when customers search for and select a Spotify song, Customix will automatically retrieve the song’s Spotify URL and generate a QR code linked to that track. When scanned, the QR code will open the selected song directly in Spotify, creating a smooth and fully automated experience for music-based personalized products.
