Customix now supports a fully dynamic Calendar customization element, allowing you to create personalized date-based gifts such as wedding calendars, baby birth calendars, anniversary reminders, and more.

1. Where to Find the Calendar Element

• Go to Templates
• Open any template
• On the left toolbar, click Elements
• Select the Calendar icon

A calendar layout will appear in your design.

2. Calendar Content Settings

When you select the calendar layer, you will see all available customization options on the right panel.

Highlight Date

Select a specific date to highlight on the calendar.

Highlight Shape

Choose how the selected date is marked:

• Heart
• Circle
• Star

Horizon Line

Enable a horizontal separator line for a more aesthetic calendar layout.

Highlight Color

Select the color of the highlight shape.

Fill Marker

Enable this if you want the highlight shape to be fully filled instead of outlined.

Highlight Stroke Width

Adjust the thickness of the highlight border.

Start Week On

Choose the first day of the week:

• Monday
• Sunday

Display Day of Week

Choose how weekday labels are displayed:

• Truncate → “MON”, “TUE”
• Abbreviate → “Mo”, “Tu”

3. Personalization Settings for Customers

By default, the calendar layer displays a fixed month. To let customers choose their own date, you need to enable personalization, otherwise the calendar stays as a non-editable layer.

Personalize with date picker

When you enable Personalize with date picker, customers can select the specific date they want highlighted on the calendar (for example, a wedding or anniversary date). The calendar then automatically displays the correct month and marks the chosen day.

You can configure the following:

• Label — the field name shown to customers (e.g., "Calendar")
• Help text — an optional hint displayed below the field to guide customers
• Default date — the date that appears pre-selected when the product page first loads
• Required — makes the date selection mandatory before adding the product to cart

Personalize font

When you enable Personalize font, customers can choose the font used throughout the calendar: the month title, weekday labels, and date numbers.

To set it up, tick the checkbox and select a font folder you previously created in the Assets section. You can then configure the Label, mark it as Required, review the Values (fonts pulled from the folder), change the linked Folder, or adjust how the fonts display with Edit display type.

Personalize with color palette / color picker

The calendar layer also supports Personalize with color palette and Personalize with color picker, which let customers change the color of the calendar. Both options work the same way as they do for a standard text layer, the color palette lets customers pick from a predefined color folder, while the color picker gives them free choice of any color.
