Add Separate Layers to Preview
In some cases, you should not add the entire print file to a preview. Instead, you may only need to display specific layers.
This is common for:
- Products with multiple print sides (e.g., mugs with front/back prints)
- 3D products where the preview surface is flat, but the product itself is not
- Scenarios where only part of the design should appear in a preview
How to add separate layers to a preview
- Go to the Preview tab
- In the Layers section, click the Add button and select** **the print file that has the layers you want

- Choose the layers you want to display in this preview
- Click Add to confirm

Only the selected layers will be added to the preview, while the full print file remains unchanged.
When you add individual layers to the Preview tab, merchants can edit the properties of these layers without affecting the actual print file values. The Preview layer and the print file layer are treated separately, changes made in Preview are for display purposes only.

For example, you might set a text layer to gray in the Preview for embroidery products, while the same text remains black in the print file. In this case, the customer sees gray text in the Preview, but the app still generates the print file with black text as normal.
This separation lets merchants present a more accurate or visually appealing preview to customers without changing what actually gets sent to production.
