Link Different Templates Inside One Option Set
When working with complex designs, a single template can become very heavy and difficult to manage.
In cases where you want customers to choose a design variation first (for example: 1 flower or 2 flowers) and then load a completely different template based on that selection, you can use the Change Template feature inside an Option Set. This allows each option value to map to a different template.
Step 1: Prepare Your Templates
First, create your templates separately:
- One template for the 1 flower design
- One template for the 2 flowers design
Make sure both templates are fully designed and saved before proceeding.

Step 2: Create a Folder for Option Values
Go to Assets → Images.
- Create a new empty folder (for example: Number of Flowers).
- Upload images representing each option value: value “1” for 1 flower and value “2” for 2 flowers
These images will be used in the Image Swatch option.

Step 3: Add Image Swatch and Map Templates
Open the Option Sets tab of the 1 flower template, and add an** Image Swatch. **

Next, select the folder that we created earlier (Number of Flowers)

Scroll down and you will see the Change Template section. You will see each option value listed, you just need to attach Template 2 flowers to value 2.

Note: Do not attach the template to its own value.
Then save the template and repeat the same setup inside Template 2.
Step 4: Set Global ID
To ensure the option stays synchronized when switching between templates, you must assign a Global ID for the "Number of Flowers" option. Without a Global ID, the selection will not sync properly between templates.
he final result will be when a customer:
- Selects “1” → Template 1 loads
- Selects “2” → Template 2 loads
The switch happens automatically based on the mapped template inside the Change Template section.
