Import Layers from Other Templates

The Import Layers from Other Templates feature allows you to reuse existing layers from another template instead of rebuilding them from scratch.

This helps speed up template creation and keep designs consistent across products.

1. How it works

First, in the Design tab, click the three-dot menu and select Import from template

Step 1

Next, choose a source template from the list

Step 2

Then, select the layers you want to import (you can select multiple layers)

Select layersnd, finally click Import to add them to your current template.

2. Import Options

When importing layers from another template, you can control how data is reused with the following options:

  • Keep layer ID: Keeps the original layer IDs from the source template.

This is recommended if you want to reuse existing Option Sets or conditional logic without remapping.

  • Import with option set: Imports the selected layers together with their associated Option Sets.

This allows the imported layers to retain their input logic, conditions, and behaviors automatically.

These options help ensure imported layers work seamlessly with existing customization logic.

3. Result

After import:

  • Selected layers are added to the current template
  • Layer positions, sizes, and styles are preserved
  • Imported layers can be edited, reordered, grouped, or bulk-edited like normal layers

The final result is a fully reusable layout structure, as shown in the example above.
