How to Integrate and Use Nano Banana AI Filter in Customix

Nano Banana (Gemini) is designed to give you the fastest and easiest path from prompt to production. With its wide variety of artistic filters, smart adaptability, and flexible pricing, Nano Banana transforms your product or customer photos into stunning works of art in seconds.


1. Get Your API Key from Google AI Studio

  • Go to https://aistudio.google.com/.
  • Sign in with your Google account.
  • From the left menu select API Keys → click Get API Key or Create API Key to generate a new one.
  • Copy the API Key you just created (you’ll paste it into Customix in the next step).
💡 Tip: Keep your API Key secure. Do not share or embed it in public code.

2. Connect the API Key in Customix


  • Log in to your Shopify Admin and open the Customix Personalizer app.
  • In the left-hand Customix menu go to Settings → Services tab.

  • In the Available services list select Nano Banana (Gemini).
  • Click Connect or paste the API Key you copied into the field provided.
  • Once connected, the status will show Connected in green.

3. Apply the AI Filter in Customix

  • In Customix go to Templates and open the template you want to edit.
  • Upload a single image from the Asset or your device
  • On the right side click AI Filter → choose Nano Banana (Gemini).

  • You can either use one of the sample prompts (Christmas, Halloween, Lego, etc.), or enter your own description for the style you want (e.g. “Turn this image into a Studio Ghibli anime style with warm tones”).
  • Click Apply AI Filter to run the effect.


Enter your prompt and wait for result

  • Wait a moment for processing, the transformed image will appear directly in your template.


4. Can I Combine It with Other Image Effects?


Yes. Nano Banana can be combined with other Customix effects or other third-parties's effect such as Face Cutout, Background Removal, and more.

This means you can chain multiple effects to create truly unique and highly personalized product images in one workflow.
