Etsy Integration with Customix

Part 1. Connect Your Etsy Store to Customix

Customix allows you to connect directly to your Etsy store and create personalized product campaigns for your Etsy listings.

Step 1: Log in to Customix with Your Etsy Account

Go to: Customix Login Page, then on the login screen, click “Login with Etsy”.

Step 2: Grant Access to Etsy

After clicking the Etsy login button, Etsy will redirect you to the authorization page. Click “Grant access” to allow Customix to connect with your Etsy account and access your store listings.

Step 3: Create Your Template Normally

Once your Etsy account is connected, you can create your personalization templates inside Customix as usual.

Step 4: Create an Etsy Campaign

When creating a new campaign, Customix will automatically pull products from your connected Etsy store.

Inside the campaign page:

  1. Click “Select product”
  2. Choose an Etsy listing from your store
  3. Connect the product with your personalization template

After selecting the Etsy product, your campaign will be linked directly to that Etsy listing.

Customix currently supports two different personalization flows for Etsy:

  • Pre-purchase Personalization: Customers personalize the product before placing the order.
  • Post-purchase Personalization: Customers complete personalization after purchasing the product.

In the next section, we will explain both flows in detail and how to set them up properly.

Part 2: Pre-purchase Personalization

With the Pre-purchase Personalization flow, customers will personalize the product before placing the Etsy order.

Inside your Etsy campaign in Customix, open the campaign then click “More actions” and select “Copy customization link”

Step 2: Open the Etsy Product Editor

Inside Etsy, open your product listing and scroll down to the Personalization section and click the Edit icon.

Paste the personalization link copied from Customix into the Instructions field.

Then click “Done” to save the personalization settings.

On the Etsy product page, the personalization link will now appear inside the personalization section.

Customers simply need to open the link, customize the producct and submit their personalization:

Step 5: Customers Receive a Customization ID

After completing the personalization process, Customix will generate a Customization ID. Customers only need to copy this ID.

Step 6: Paste the Customization ID into Etsy

Customers then paste the generated Customization ID back into the Etsy personalization box before adding the product to cart.

If you want to customize the appearance of the pre-purchase personalization page (such as the header, logo, colors, or storefront branding), you can configure it inside: Settings → Storefront

Part 3: Post-purchase Personalization

With the Post-purchase Personalization flow, customers place the order first and complete personalization afterward through an email sent by Customix.

Step 1: Enable Personalization Emails

Inside Customix, go to Settings then open the Email tab and enable “Send personalization email to buyers”

Once enabled, Customix will automatically send personalization emails to Etsy customers after they place an order.

Step 2: Edit the Etsy Personalization Field to Ask Customers to Enter Their Email

Go back to your Etsy product listing, open the product editor and scroll to the Personalization section then click the Edit icon

Inside the personalization instructions, ask customers to enter their email address

Step 3: Customers Receive the Personalization Email

After placing the order, customers will automatically receive an email from Customix containing the personalization link. They only need to open the email, click “Start Personalization” and complete their customization.

Step 4: Personalization Syncs Back to the Order

After the customer submits the personalization, the generated print files and customization data will automatically sync back to the order inside Customix.

If a customer already submitted personalization but later wants to edit it again, merchants can generate a new personalization link directly from the order page.

Inside the order:

  1. Open the order
  2. Click “Generate New Customization Link”
  3. Send the new link to the customer

Once the customer submits the updated personalization, the new print files will automatically sync back to the same order and replace the previous version.
