Customix now supports ChatGPT AI Integration, allowing you and your customers to automatically generate personalized texts directly inside the Customizer. This includes engraving ideas, message suggestions, captions, product descriptions, and many other AI-generated content options.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to connect ChatGPT with Customix and how to use it in your store.

1. How to Get Your ChatGPT (OpenAI) API Key

To integrate ChatGPT, you will need your own OpenAI API Key.

Steps to get the key:

• Go to: https://platform.openai.com/settings/organization/api-keys
• Log in with your OpenAI account.
• Click Create new secret key.
• Copy the key (it starts with sk-...).

⚠️ Important:

OpenAI will only show the key once. Keep it somewhere safe.

2. How to Integrate ChatGPT With Customix

• On the left sidebar, go to Settings section
• Open the Integrations tab.
• Find ChatGPT Integration.
• Paste your OpenAI API Key into the field.
• Click Save.

Your ChatGPT connection is now active.

Customix will start using your API key whenever AI text generation is triggered.

3. How to Use ChatGPT AI in Image Layers

• Open Templates and choose a product template
• Select an Image Layer then on the right panel, scroll to AI Filter / AI Generator
• Enable Use ChatGPT AI Image Generation
• Enter your AI Prompt, e.g.:
• “Turn this pet photo into a 3D Pixar-style cartoon.”
• “Convert the user’s photo into a watercolor landscape painting.”
• “Generate a Christmas-themed cartoon version of this dog.”
• “Re-draw this portrait in Studio Ghibli art style.”

When customers upload their image, the app will send the photo + your prompt to ChatGPT to generate a transformed AI image.

4. Can I Combine It with Other Image Effects?

Yes. ChatGPT can be combined with other Customix effects or other third-parties's effect such as Face Cutout, Background Removal, and more.

Also, if you enable Run after Filters & Effects, the AI image will be generated after other effects (like Background Removal, Face Cutout, Cartoonized filters…) are applied.

This ensures the AI works on the cleaned and optimized version of the customer’s photo, resulting in better and more accurate outputs.

The final AI-generated image will automatically replace the uploaded photo in the preview.
